Ucluelet Campground is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in the town of Ucluelet.
From the east coast of Vancouver Island, follow Highway 19 and then Highway4 to Port Alberni. Continue through Port Alberni on Highway 4, following signs to Tofino, Ucluelet and the Pacific Rim National Park. Follow the highway for approximately 90 minutes until you reach the Tofino / Ucluelet junction at the end of Highway 4. Turn left towards Ucluelet. From here you are about 8km away.
As you enter Ucluelet you will see a carved ‘Welcome to Ucluelet’ sign on the left hand side. Turn left immediately after the sign onto Seaplane Base Road. The campground will be immediately on your right.
To reach Vancouver Island from mainland Canada, you will need to take a ferry from Vancouver to either Nanaimo or Victoria.
Reservations are recommended if you are travelling with a vehicle during July and August, or over a holiday weekend.
Pacific Coastal Airlines
Pacific Coastal Airlines operates a daily service between Vancouver (CYVR) and Long Beach Airport (CYAZ) near Tofino.
Car hire can be booked in advance from Budget Car Hire at the airport.
Ucluelet Campground is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport.
Tofino Bus operates a number of services connecting Ucluelet with the rest of Vancouver Island. Services are also offered from Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo to Ucluelet.
Tickets can be bought online in advance, and reservations are recommended during peak holiday season.
